This video from AccuWeather gives a brief outline of how may tree species are migrating northward and to higher elevation in response to climate change. Often this migration leaves trees vulnerable to pests such as the Mountain Pine Beetle. Many forests, particularly in the western North America, have been decimated by infestations.
