More Extreme Weather Becoming the New Normal

With 2010 tied for the hottest and leading the pack for the wettest year on record, changing weather patterns portend life in a warming world. New research from the National Climate Data Center has redefined weather averages to reflect a changing climate. The extremes are becoming normal.

“This is no longer something that’s theory or conjecture or something that comes out of computer models,” say Dr. Richard Somerville. “We’re observing the climate changing. It’s real. It’s happening. It’s scientific fact.”
