Breaking News: Oil Prices Close at New Record High

Crude oil futures closed at $116.69 a barrel today after reaching an intra-day high of $117. The surge in prices was reportedly sparked by news that a militant group in Nigeria sabotaged a major oil pipeline operated by Royal Dutch Shell, promising more attacks on the country’s petroleum infrastructure.
