Global average temperatures were the hottest in 1400 years in the 20th century, more specifically during the period 1971-2000, according to a first-of-its-kind scientific study.

The “Berkeley Earth Surface Temperature” study confirmed work by the likes of NASA, NOAA, and the UK Met Office-Univ. of East Anglia. Ironically, it was funded in part by the Koch Brothers, billionaire industrialists and avowed proponents of climate change denial.
