Escalating Costs of Global Warming All Too Evident as UN Climate Treaty Talks Open

Evidence of global warming, and its escalating costs, continues to mount as some 15,000 delegates attended the opening of the UNFCCC’s COP 17 climate change conference in Durban, South Africa yesterday. Nature seemed to weigh in, buffeting the coastal Indian Ocean city with an unseasonable torrential rain.
