The UN Convention on Biological Diversity is taking note of a first set of “best practice” guidelines for enacting an interdisciplinary, ecosystem-based “Landscape Approach” to forest, agriculture and land use management that takes greater account of human use and community development.

World Governments Meet in Latest Effort to Stem the Tide of Biodiversity Loss

Representatives from 193 UN member nations party to the Convention on Biological Diversity are meeting in Hyderabad, India in an effort to build on historic agreements to protect biodiversity, including the 10 Aichi Biodiversity Targets agreed to in Nagoya, Japan in 2010.
