In 2005 National Geographic photographer James Balog traveled to the Arctic to capture a landscape under threat. Despite a scientific upbringing, Balog had been skeptical of climate change – until his experience in the Arctic. Due out in November of 2012, this Sundance Award-winning film Chasing Ice is the story of Balog’s new-found mission to “change the tide of history by gathering undeniable evidence of our changing planet.”
