- The Toxic Substance Control Act (TSCA) is supposed to regulate toxic chemicals in the USA but has failed to do so more many reasons. The Environmental Defense Fund makes the case for updating TSCA and outlines their plan.
- A Supreme Court ruling in April of 2007 forced the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to regulate greenhouse gases as pollution. The EPA will begin to do this in 2012, that is if the US Congress does not legislate the EPA out of that task first.
- MotherJones covers BP and their recent environmental history. The company is struggling to deal with the crisis and public perception, but with entrenched political influences, BP will move on at some point unscathed.
- Scientific American reports on the underestimation of the effect of the carcinogens that we have introduced into our environment. The healthier our society is the less of an impact we have on our environment.
