National Carbon Offset Coalition

I was recently contacted by the marketing director of the National Carbon Offset Coalition in an effort to help get the word out about what the NCOC is doing, and I am happy to oblige.

The NCOC is comprised of seven Montana non-profit corporations. Through carbon sequestration, the NCOC offers landowners, public and private entities, tribal, local, and state governments a unique opportunity to participate in a market-based conservation program that helps to offset the environmental impacts of greenhouse gasses.

The National Carbon Offset Coalition is a good example of how market forces can be used to align the interests of business, landowners, and governments with sound environmental stewardship.

The NCOC conducts workshops throughout the country and has developed the first handbook in the United States on carbon sequestration.
