Lead, Follow, or Get Out of the Way

And in the case of Mr. Bush, please get out of the way and let others lead when it comes to global warming.

Yesterday, British Prime Minister and California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger announced an agreement to bypass the Bush administration and work together to explore ways to deal with Global Warming.

Viewed by many environmental organizations as more symbolic than substantive, at least it is something; certainly more than the “leadership” offered by George W. Bush.

Blair stated that climate change is “long term, the single biggest issue we face”, while Schwarzenegger said that “California will not wait for our federal government to take strong action on global warming.” Good thing, we’d be waiting for a long, long time.
